Kathmandu, Feb 3: The winner of Miss Nepal North America will now be able to directly participate in the Miss Nepal beauty pageant competition. With the Hidden Treasure (organizer of Miss Nepal beauty pageant competition) and organizer of ‘Miss Nepal North America’ signing the Memorandum of Understanding MOU in this regard, the way has been paved for the ‘Miss Nepal North America’ winner to participate in the country’s biggest beauty contest.
As per the MoU, the contestants of ‘Miss Nepal North America’ can now take part in Miss Nepal. Hidden Treasure Director Diwakar Rajkarnikar and Chairman and CEO of ‘Miss Nepal North America’ Shailesh Shrestha were the signatories of the agreement from the respective sides on January 28. The head of Miss Nepal North America and the pageant winner will also be among the judges of Miss Nepal and vice versa whereas Miss Nepal North America has also agreed to seek donors for Miss Nepal’s social project.
The Hidden Treasure has also informed that its representative will be assisted by Miss Nepal North America in course of his/her visit to North America and that Miss Nepal winner will also be made the goodwill ambassador of the Miss Nepal North America pageant. This is the first time such an agreement has been materialized between Miss Nepal and the beauty contest beyond the state.
This year, the Miss World is being organized in Puerto Rico, USA. Miss Nepal Namrata Shrestha is to reach the venue on March 12 to participate in the finale. During her stay there, Miss Nepal North America has agreed to assist her.
