Gaurishankar Hitters Clinches 3rd Marwari Premier League 2026 with Seven-Wicket Win

March 24, 2026: In a thrilling finale at Birgunj’s Adarsha Stadium, Gaurishankar Hitters emerged victorious in the third edition of the Marwari Premier League, defeating Annapurna Tigers by seven wickets. The final, held in memory of the late Sushil Kumar Khaitan, saw Annapurna Tigers set a modest target of 102 runs in 15 overs. Gaurishankar Hitters chased it down in just 10.4 overs for the loss of three wickets, clinching the championship with authority.

The winners received Rs. 400,000 in cash, trophies, medals, and certificates, presented by Green City Community Center President Jayaprakash Khaitan, social worker Rajkumari Khaitan, Marwari Youth Forum President Anuj Rugata, and Parsa Deputy Superintendent of Police Raju Karki. The runners-up earned Rs. 250,000 along with a trophy and medals.

Individual accolades highlighted standout performances: Krishna Soni earned ‘Match of the Series,’ Harsh Bara bagged the best batsman award, Abhay Rugata the best bowler, Vinit Lohia the best fielder, Rajan Kyal ‘Match of the Match,’ and Arpit Mahato was named Most Valuable Player.

President Khaitan emphasized that the tournament fosters brotherhood and sportsmanship among Marwari community players and pledged that such competitions will continue in the future.
