Xi Jinping meets Russian prime minister

On Wednesday in Beijing, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and Chinese President Xi Jinping had a meeting. 

Xi urged that Mishustin greet Russian President Vladimir Putin on his behalf. 

Xi said that he and Putin put up a plan for the future development of China-Russia relations and collaboration in a number of areas during their fruitful state visit to Russia in March. Consolidating and strengthening ties between China and Russia is the goal of the populace and the current trend, according to Xi. 

He expressed his hope that both sides would keep utilizing the excellent potential, wide range of opportunities, and powerful momentum of China-Russia relations to promote cooperation in a number of areas and strengthen their all-encompassing strategic partnership of coordination for the new era. 

Xi emphasized that China and Russia should maintain their strong support for one another on matters pertaining to their respective fundamental interests and improve their coordination on multilateral forums including the G20, the BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the United Nations. 
According to Xi, the two sides should maximize their ability to increase economic, trade, and investment cooperation levels, enhance bilateral cooperation institutions, expand cooperation in the energy and connectivity sectors, and develop more new growth areas. He also said that people-to-people and cultural exchanges should be boosted. 

In order to facilitate the development of a more open, sizable regional market, ensure the stability and efficiency of global industrial and supply chains, and provide real benefits to the countries in the region, China is willing to collaborate with Russia and other Eurasian Economic Union members. 

Mishustin, who is now in China on an official visit, sent President Xi his warmest greetings and best wishes on behalf of Putin. 

According to him, Xi’s historic state visit to Russia in March was a huge success and marked the start of a new era for the coordination of the China-Russia comprehensive strategic cooperation. 

Mishustin stated that Russia is prepared to cooperate with China to put into practice the significant accord reached by the two heads of state and fully utilize the frequent premier-level gatherings and pertinent mechanisms to enhance practical cooperation in numerous domains.

In order to advance the multipolarization of the world and solidify the international order based on international law, he stated that Russia is eager to collaborate with China. 

Russia is eager to continue enhancing its cultural and people-to-people ties with China so that their relationship can be passed down from generation to generation.
