The temperature has been rising in various parts of the country, including Kathmandu Valley, over the past few days.

According to meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari from the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the maximum and minimum temperatures have both increased due to the prolonged dry period and the influence of a high-pressure system over India.

Today, Kathmandu recorded a maximum temperature of 24.6°C, with a minimum of 6.2°C. The highest maximum temperature was recorded in Dipayal at 27.2°C and in Birendranagar at 27.1°C. Of the 21 weather stations, 11 recorded maximum temperatures above 20°C. The lowest temperature, however, was recorded in Jumla at -3.5°C.
