Prof. Dr. Ramkrishna Regmi, a senior journalist, highlighted the significant influence of social media on the news industry, noting that it brings both opportunities and challenges.
Regmi pointed out that while social media provides a convenient space for information dissemination and user engagement, it also facilitates the spread of misinformation and disinformation. He stressed the necessity of fact-checking and proper handling of social media content to maintain journalistic integrity.
