The Supreme Court has launched an automated cause list management system at 18 high courts across the country.

Chief Justice Bishwombhar Prasad Shrestha inaugurated the system at the High Court Patan, stating that it will ensure transparency, credibility, and quality of services.

The system, which was successful at the Supreme Court, will be implemented in high courts for the first time in the judiciary’s history.

The system is made possible by human resources at the IT Division of the Supreme Court, and a study is underway to start it at district courts in the coming days.

The system will not discriminate in determining cause lists and will be used in conjunction with the court and bar to carry out tasks effectively. Preparations are also being made to conduct online hearings at the Supreme Court and high courts, as well as at the remaining high, special, labor courts and foreign employment tribunals.
