Supendra Ghising elected as ICC member of NRNA Japan

Japan-based businessman Supendra Ghising has been elected as a member of International Coordinating Council of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Japan. Laxman Bania, Deepak Karki, Nar Bahadur Thapa, Shravan Kumar Satyal and Rovin Prasad Sherchan are among other members of the Council of the Association Japan.  

The 10th National General Convention of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Japan held on Friday elected Shiva Prasad Poudel as the Association President.

Poudel received a total of 3,038 votes, where along with the former, Anita Gurung, Narendra Basnet Dinesh, Saroj Kumar Khatri and Kiran Barma had competed for the position of the President.

Likewise, Navin Niure has been elected as the Senior Vice President, whereas Ram Krishna Shrestha, Mahesh Kumar Katwal, Ram Thapa (Anil) and Raj Kumar Adhikari have been elected as the Vice Presidents. Sangita Adhikari Subedi has been elected as the Vice President, Siddhartha Shrestha has been elected as the General Secretary and Shyam Sheetal Shrestha and Devraj Upreti have been elected as the Secretaries. Similarly, Krishna Gaire Sharma has been elected as the treasurer and Rakesh Lama has been elected as the youth coordinator.

A total of 59 candidates had filed nominations for 29 posts in the election for the new working committee 2021-23. Out of the total 9,394 voters, 7,571 had cast their votes online.

Supendra Ghising has been living in Japan for the past decade. Ghising hails from Bila Vilage of Kavre district. He has a wife and two daughters in his family. His contribution in the business field in Japan has been remarkable. With the main objective to give rather than take, Ghising has made it to such an honorable position of the Association.
