Statements of three persons including former Home Minister Balkrishna Khand accused in fake Bhutanese refugee case were taken today.
The information officer of District Court Kathmandu Deepak Dahal informed that statements of former home minister Khand, Bhutanese refugee leader Teknath Rijal and Haribhakta Maharjan were taken.
According to him, the statements of former Deputy Prime Minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, former MP Angtawa Sherpa and Haj Committee Chairman Shamsher Mian, who were involved in the case, have been completed yesterday.
According to Information Officer Dahal, 15 defendants have given their statements till yesterday.
Eighteen people have been arrested among the accused in the case of fake Bhutanese refugees, while 12 people are still absconding, according to District Police Complex Kathmandu.
