Snowfall disrupts vehicular movement in various highways; Affects normal life in parts of Nepal

Heavy snowfall happening at Simbhanjyang and Aghor areas of Tribhuvan Highway since last night has obstructed vehicular movement from 2:00 am this morning, the police station of Palung area said. Mayor of Thaha Municipality Labsher Bista said it had been difficult to clear the snow because the areas witnessed heavy snowfall including rain. The automobiles heading to Kathmandu from Hetauda are stranded at Aghor area of Tribhuvan Highway.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of District Police, Makawanpur, Jayashwor Rimal said preparations are on to resume the transport by this afternoon given the weather shows improvement.

Heavy snowfall disrupts two highways in Sudurpaschim

Meanwhile, Bhimdutta Highway that connects seven hilly districts of the Sudurpaschim Province is obstructed following the snowfall that took place from Thursday night.
Area station at Budar confirmed that the snowfall going down since last night has disrupted vehicular movement here and efforts are ongoing to clear the snow.
Dozens of vehicles and an outsized number of passengers traveling in the vehicles are stranded at Gaira and Budar areas in Doti. Sahukharka, Gaira, Hagulte and therefore the vicinity are blanketed with snow within the district.

Snowfall impacts life in Humla

Meanwhile, snowfall has also affected normal life in Humla district since Thursday morning.
Regular flights have also been disrupted because of the snowfall. As the flights could not take place, the availability of food products allotted from Nepalgunj and Surkhet is additionally affected. Moreover, service delivery from the government and non-governmental organizations is additionally impacted after the snowfall.
