The Secondary Education Examinations (SEE) results for the academic year 2079 BS (2022–23) have been released by the National Examinations Board (NEB).
Today’s meeting of the Board, which was presided over by Dr. Mahashram Sharma, the board’s chair, decided to publish the class 10 results today.
The NEB claimed that the results are tallied up and then published in accordance with the grading scheme.
The SEE grade system was introduced in 2072 BS, and it is believed that this is the final instance in which the results would be presented in this manner.
From the next year, it will be released using a letter grading system.Students who score between 90 and 100 receive a “A plus,” 80 to 90 a “A,” 70 to 80 a “B plus,” 60 to 70 a “B,” 50 to 60 a “C plus,” 40 to 50 a “C,” 30 to 40 a “D plus,” 20 to 30 a “D,” and below a “E.”The Board had earlier stated that the results for 2079 BS will be released in accordance with the 2078 BS Letter Grading Guidelines, however this was not possible.
The SEE was taken by 485,396 students and was held from April 2–12, 2023 (Chait 19–29, 2079 BS).
A total of 102,000 students from the Bagamati Province took the SEE, while 38,608 students from Karnali took it in the lowest number of numbers.
There were 2037 exam centers in total, with 242,712 girls and 242,674 boys taking the exams.
Only pupils who earn at least 35 in theory and 40 in practical are included in the letter grading system; those who do not reach the minimum requirements will be classified as non-graded (NG), rendering them ineligible to enroll in grade 11.
