Prime Minister Commemorates Khusiram Pakhrin’s Enduring Legacy on Sixth Memorial Day

Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal paid heartfelt tribute to the indelible contributions of Khusiram Pakhrin during a commemorative event marking Pakhrin’s Sixth Memorial Day. The Prime Minister emphasized Pakhrin’s cultural influence, unwavering integrity, and sacrifices pivotal to Nepal’s political revolution.

Speaking at the event, PM Dahal urged individuals to draw inspiration from Pakhrin’s sincerity, commitment to party principles, and exemplary leadership.

The Prime Minister lauded Pakhrin’s unique contribution to Nepal’s progressive literature, citing his principled approach, dedication to revolutionary goals, and simplicity as defining characteristics.

PM Dahal fondly remembered Pakhrin’s multifaceted talents in signing, songwriting, and music, describing him as “multitalented.”

Reflecting on their initial meeting during the anti-Panchayat movement of 2036 BS, PM Prachanda underscored Pakhrin’s significant role in the people’s war and the subsequent peace process.

The Prime Minister acknowledged Pakhrin’s instrumental efforts in expanding the Maoist party’s influence among the Nepali diaspora in India.

Cultural figure and Maoist Centre leader Ishwar Chandra Gyawali praised Pakhrin’s songs, noting their profound impact in advocating for revolution, liberation, sacrifice, and freedom.

Gyawali emphasized Pakhrin’s role in composing songs that stirred patriotic sentiments and mobilized the proletariat class against feudal systems.

Publication Release

As part of the commemoration, PM Dahal unveiled a publication dedicated to the late Khusiram Pakhrin. The publication features insightful articles contributed by PM Dahal, Mani Thapa, Gunaraj Lohani, Renu Dahal, Ishwar Chandra Gyawali, Amik Sherchan, Komalnath Baral, Prakash Silwal, Jhalak Pani Tiwari, and others.

Legacy of Khusiram Pakhrin:

Born in 2009 BS in Gorkha, Pakhrin served as an advisor to the CPN (Maoist Centre), leaving an enduring legacy through his cultural contributions and commitment to political ideals.

The event not only celebrated Pakhrin’s life but also highlighted his role in shaping Nepal’s political landscape and fostering cultural expressions aligned with revolutionary ideals.
