Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has expressed commitment that the government will leave no stone unturned to bring reforms in the education sector.
PM Dahal said this while receiving a memorandum submitted by the Nepal Teachers Federation National Committee at the Prime Minister’s official residence at Baluwatar today.
He asserted that the government will decide on some old, unresolved issues from a clear standpoint.
According to Shankar Adhikari, President of the Unified All Nepal Teachers’ Organization, the Prime Minister stated at the time that he would take measures to address the problems of the teachers as he was aware of their difficulties.

The Federation has demanded allocation of 20% of the overall budget to the field of education. Adhikari stated that in the memo to the PM, they urged the government to increase the number of positions for employees in schools and make plans for their salaries and benefits in accordance with their positions, to pay teachers and other staff members on a monthly basis, and to offer specialized training for each subject to raise educational standards.
