Kazakhstan has defeated Uzbekistan to advance to the semifinals in NSC-CAVA Women’s Volleyball Challenge Cup event ongoing in Kathmandu.
Kazakhstan won Group B in the end.
Kazakhstan defeated Uzbekistan by a score of three sets to one in the match that was played today at the Covered Hall of the National Sports Council (NSC).
Kazakhstan won the next three sets in a row by scores of 25-16, 25-11, and 25-18 after dropping the opening set 24-26.
Despite the defeat today, Uzbekistan advanced to the semifinals of the competition as Group B’s runner-up.
The Maldives and Sri Lanka have been removed from this category.
The competition, which is being hosted by Nepal and India with backing from NSC and the Nepal Volleyball Association, has reached its semifinals.
Nepal, who finished second in Group A, will play Kazakhstan, while India will take on Uzbekistan.
