The 11th General Convention of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) is holding election to choose its new leadership.
For those who were staying overseas, online voting began on Wednesday at 12:00 p.m.; in Nepal, it began on Thursday at 10:00 p.m. Thursday’s voting is scheduled to end at midnight, as per the NRNA General Assembly Election Committee.
The results will be made public on Friday following the conclusion of the vote and the beginning of the counting process.
New leaders for 74 positions will be chosen at the Convention.
Out of 74 roles, 10 have not had any nominations, while 23 have been chosen without opposition for different positions, according to NRNA.
Three people are running to be the President.
RK Sharma, Mahesh Shrestha and Badri KC are contesting for the post of President.
18 candidates have been nominated for 6 vice president posts.
4,200 representatives from all over the world participated in the voting.
