The share market on Tuesday faced a double-digit decline closing at 2835.58 points. As per the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the share market suffered a loss by 16.30 points. The NEPSE said the sensitive index of massive companies came across 532.49 following a loss of two.82 points.
Despite the decline within the NEPSE index, the number of total transactions slightly increased compared to Monday.
On Tuesday, 12 million-plus shares of 230 companies were transacted at Rs 6.28 billion. With this, the capitalization reached Rs 4007.72 billion.
The Nepse said five sub-categories noticed a rise within the share market while eight others lost. Of the whole 13 sub-categories, categories of trade gained by 2.68 points, hotel and tourism by 3.74 points, non-life insurance by 56.22 points, production by 27.54 points and mutual investment fund by 0.08 points.
On the premise of the transaction, Arun Valley Hydropower Company stood atop with the transaction of some Rs 358.5 million followed by Api power service.
