South Korea is no more allowing seasonal workers from Nepal.

After discovering that more than 80% of Nepalese who entered South Korea on seasonal visas were residing there illegally, South Korea implemented this ban for the following three years.

The Immigration Department has told the Nepali Embassy there that no agreement can be reached with Nepal right away in accordance with the same policy.

According to the Embassay, S Korea was compelled to enforce the embargo because more than 80% of the seasonal workers from Nepal who came to Korea last year did not return as planned.

The British government had previously prohibited Nepali seasonal workers as well.
