Nepali national cricket team is leaving today for Sri Lanka to participate in the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023.
The team was bade farewell amid a program organized by Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) today.
The ACC Cup is scheduled to take place on July 13-23.
Nepal is placed in Group ‘B’ along with Pakistan ‘A’, India ‘A’ and the United Arab Emirates. Similarly, hosts Sri Lanka ‘A’, Bangladesh ‘A’, Afghanistan ‘A’ and Oman are in Group ‘B’.
In its first match, Nepal is facing Pakistan ‘A’ on July 14, and it will play its second match against India ‘A’ on July 17.
In its third and final match under the group stage, it will take on the UAE on July 19.
The Nepali team participating in the match comprises Captain Rohit Kumar Paudel, Kushal Bhurtel, Aasif Shekh, Arjun Saud, Kushal Malla, Gulsan Jha, Sompal Kami, Bhim Sarki, Dev Khanal, Pratish GC, Lalit Rajbamshi, Kishor Mahato, Shyam Dhakal, Surya Tamang, Pawan Sarraf and Sandip Jora.
