Nepal Police and Tribhuvan Army to clash in the final of PM Cup Cricket

The departmental teams Nepal Police Club and Tribhuvan Army Club are to clash in the final match of Prime Minister’s Cup National Cricket Tournament.

The final between Army and the Police is confirmed after Army defeated Gandaki Province by 68 runs in a crucial league match today. 

Police, who is at the top of the points table, have already reached the final. 

In today’s match at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Army batted first and was all out for 132 runs in 39 overs.

Imran Sheikh scored 34 runs for the Army, Sompal Kami scored 23, and Captain Binod Bhandari scored 19. 

Gandaki’s Bipin Khatri, Amrit Gurung, Krishna Paudel, and Kamal Pariyar each claimed two wickets. 

Gandaki could only manage 64 runs after losing all of his wickets in 23.4 overs. 

For the Army, Jitendra Mukhyia and Kushal Malla both claimed two wickets, while player of the match Sahab Alam claimed four. 

Likewise, in the other match today, Nepal Police, defeated Sudurpaschim Province by 78 runs at the Mulpani Cricket Ground. Chasing the target of 199 runs given by the police, Sudurpaschim scored 120 runs in 37 overs.
