The recent monsoon floods and landslides has caused property damage worth over Rs 60 million in eastern Nepal.
According to the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, the disasters caused partial damage to 20 residences while entirely destroying 54 homes in total.
The Executive Director of the Authority provided the most recent information regarding the monsoon-related disasters at the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management National Council’s 11th meeting on Friday.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal presided over the gathering.
Similar to this, calamities have claimed the lives of 34 people while also leaving 25 people missing.
On June 14, the monsoon season began in Nepal, and as of now, 64 districts have been hit by the tragedy.
Nineteen of them report human casualties.
The impacted have received financial help from the federal government totaling Rs 2 million so far.
