Nepali Litterateur Satyamohan Joshi and his wife Radha Devi Joshi are to donate their bodies for research purpose. They made the declaration amid a programme held at Nai Publications on February 12.
The Joshi duo are to donate their bodies at KIST Medical College, Gwarko for medical research. Writer Joshi said they announced the donation so as to provide opportunity for medical science students to study about his longevity. “I wish medial students may study factors behind consistency in my health during a long span”. He also shared that people should not take any stress, pain and pressure in order to have a long life like him. Lalitpur metropolitan city mayor Chiribabu Maharjan also ascertained that the country would take lessons from the Joshi couple about their sound health and longevity. Narendra Raj Prasain, Member-secretary at the Publications, highlighted the greatness, simplicity and far-sighted attitude of the couple. The consent letter about the donation to the Medical college consists signatures of 101-year-old Joshi and his 96-year-old wife Radha Devi Joshi, including their son Anuraj Joshi.
