On the sixth day of the Bada Dashain festival, Hindus nationwide are celebrating by venerating Goddess Katyayani Devi.

Described in Hindu scriptures as the epitome of beauty, Goddess Katyayani is believed to have descended to the mortal realm to thwart obstacles posed by malevolent demons while promoting virtuous deeds, including acts of charity.

There exists a deep-seated spiritual conviction that paying homage to Goddess Katyayani during Navratri bestows strength, prosperity, and knowledge.

Devotees have congregated at Hindu temples throughout the country, seeking blessings on this auspicious occasion.

In the Kathmandu Valley, the faithful have flocked to Guheshwori, Jaya Bageshwori, Maitidevi, Kalikasthan, Naxal Bhagawati, Bhadrakali, Kalankimai, and numerous other temples since the early hours of the morning.

Likewise, Palanchwok Bhagawati, Nala Bhagawati, Kamalamai, Ichchhakamana, Manakamana, Gadhimai, Pathibhara, Dantakali, Baglung Kalika, Bindhabasini, Tal Barahi, and various other sacred sites have also welcomed a significant number of devotees on this sixth day of the Bada Dashain festival.
