The District Administration Office in Kavrepalanchowk has implemented limitations on tipper movements during the Dashain festival.
Effective immediately, tipper trucks are not allowed to operate from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm daily, and this restriction will remain in effect until October 13.
This decision was reached following a meeting of concerned authorities on Wednesday, which was convened in response to a fatal tipper accident that occurred on Ghatasthapana.
Tipper entrepreneurs were also in attendance at the meeting.
The imposed restriction applies to tipper movement on the Araniko and BP Highways. Additionally, the meeting concluded with an agreement to conduct awareness classes targeting both tipper and public vehicle drivers.
According to the District Traffic Police Office, there were six tipper-related accidents out of a total of 25 road accidents that occurred in the past month (September 18-October 17).
These accidents resulted in seven casualties, with three of them attributed to tipper mishaps.
