Earthquake Strikes Bajhang District, Residents Alarmed

In the early hours of this morning, Bajhang district experienced another seismic jolt as an earthquake measuring local magnitude 4.4 rocked the region. 

According to reports from the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre, the tremor’s epicenter was located around Parakatne in Thalara Rural Municipality.

This event marks the second significant earthquake in the area within a short span, following a similar magnitude 4.4 quake on January 12. 

Residents of Bajhang district have been left on edge, fearing potential damages and disruptions from the recurring seismic activity.

While there have been no immediate reports of casualties or major damages, the repeated occurrences of earthquakes have heightened concerns among locals. 

Authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant and prepared for any further seismic activity.

The National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Centre continues to monitor the situation closely and advises residents to follow safety protocols in the event of aftershocks or subsequent tremors.
