Dr. Shesh Ghale, a former president of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), has claimed that he has consistently participated in the effort to “do something for the motherland.”
He emphasized the need for all NRNA office holders to move forward with optimism.
He was speaking during a discussion on the subject of “consensus, cooperation, unity, and authenticity” that the NRNA National Coordination Council of Portugal convened on Monday in Lisbon.
He made the clear declaration that he didn’t wish to discuss disagreements with the NRNA and promised to carry out his obligations as an association member impartially.
Regarding the disputes, he remarked, “The NRNA General Convention was held after taking legal advice.”
He saw a network of Nepali communities abroad as a network that could be governed on the United Nations model.
He exhorted everyone in Nepal to call the government’s attention to urgent issues including climate change, renewable energy, and green hydrogen. Tharka Sen, vice president of NRNA Central, similarly stated that they were moving forward in a spirit of unity.
Sonam Lama, the NRNA’s outgoing vice president, also emphasized the necessity of everyone connected to the NRNA putting professional interests before personal ones.
