Constitution Day marked across the country

The 4th constitution day was observed across the country with huge fanfare. A special program was organized at the Nepal Army pavilion with President Bidya Devi Bhandari as the chief guest, to mark the third anniversary of the Constitution, endorsed after six decades of political struggle. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Chief Justice, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chairman of the National Assembly, deputy prime ministers, ministers, high-ranking government officials, security chiefs, heads of diplomatic missions based in Kathmandu, among others, also attended the program. An aerial display of a banner reading ‘Constitution Day-2075’, balloons, and flowers were showered from a helicopter as parts of the celebration. Similarly, Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Scouts are set to perform march past. The Day was observed throughout the country by organizing various programs.

Similarly, as per the directive issued by the government, academic institutions across the nation observed the day organising various programmes and competitions on 2nd, 3rd or 4th of Ashwin. The government has announced the day as public holiday.
