The bodies of three additional Nepali students who lost their lives in the attack carried out by Hamas in Israel have recently been repatriated to Nepal.

In total, ten Nepali students were tragically killed in the attack. The bodies of Ananda Sah from Sapahi-6, Dhanusha; Rajesh Kumar Swornakar from Madhuwan-1, Sunsari; and Rajan Phulara from Pachnali-3, Doti were brought back to Nepal via a Fly Dubai aircraft, as confirmed by Joint-Secretary at the Foreign Ministry, Shard Raj Aran.

Phulara’s body arrived on Friday afternoon, Swornakar’s on Friday night, and Sah’s this morning.

According to the Foreign Ministry, the attack by Hamas in Israel on October 7 claimed the lives of ten Nepali students, with the bodies of eight students brought back to Nepal so far.

The bodies of Sah and Swornakar will be transported to their respective districts today by the Nepali Army chopper, as shared by Aran. These Nepali students had been in Israel as part of the ‘Learn and Earn’ program initiated by the Israeli government in the agriculture sector.

The bodies of Padam Thapa from Lamikhal-8, Doti, and Prabesh Bhandari from Sarada-3, Salyan are yet to be repatriated. Another Nepali student, Bipin Joshi from Bhimdutta-3, Kanchanpur, remains out of contact.

Following the attack in Israel, Foreign Minister Narayan Prakash Saud led a team that successfully rescued 254 students from Israel and brought them back to Nepal.
