Bharatpur Metropolis Launches ‘Visit Bharatpur 2024’ Campaign to Boost Tourism

In an effort to position Bharatpur as a prime tourism destination, Bharatpur Metropolitan City announced the initiation of the ‘Visit Bharatpur 2024’ campaign. The ambitious campaign aims to attract both domestic and international tourists, marking the year 2024 as the designated “Visit Bharatpur Year.” The official announcement took place during a program organized by Bharatpur Metropolitan City and the Tourism Board on Wednesday.

Deputy Mayor Chitra Sen Adhikari emphasized that the ‘Visit Bharatpur 2024’ campaign is not only a local initiative but a nationwide effort, positioning Bharatpur as a significant contributor to the country’s tourism sector. Minister of State for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Sushila Sripali Thakuri, commended the historic efforts of Bharatpur Metropolitan City in recognizing and promoting the natural beauty of the region. She also highlighted the Ministry’s commitment to addressing legal obstacles hindering the protection and promotion of the tourism sector.

The Chief Executive Officer of the Tourism Board, Dhananjay Regmi, expressed optimism about the success of the campaign, noting that the Board is dedicated to ensuring its effectiveness. The ‘Visit Bharatpur 2024’ campaign is set to showcase various events throughout the year, including an international safari mart, investment summit, heritage marathon, government and stakeholder meetings, jungle festival, youth and women conferences, literary programs, national and international seminars, sports competitions, exhibitions, and food festivals.
