2,526 fresh cases of coronavirus, 16 deaths in 24 hours

The Health Ministry shared that over half a million people received vaccination against COVID-19 within the 24 hours alone.

A total of 2,526 fresh cases of coronavirus were recorded within the last 24 hours across the country. Similarly, 16 lost their lives to the contagion within the same period.

The Ministry of Health and Population informed in its regular bulletin that 11,073 tests were conducted within the last 24 hours to substantiate the infections. Similarly, within the same period, 8,425 persons got recovered from coronavirus infection within the latest update.

The number of individuals getting obviate coronavirus has reached 895,868. The recovery rate stands at 92.9 percent. The infection rate at the present is 18.3 percent.

Meanwhile, the Ministry shared that over half a million people received vaccination against COVID-19 within the 24 hours alone.

Currently, active cases of coronavirus are 56,457 within the country. The quantity of fatalities has to date reached 11,794. The mortality rate is 1.3 percent.

Moreover, there are 51 infected ones receiving treatment with ventilator support while 243 at ICU in several health facilities across the country.

The districts having over 500 active cases of coronavirus are Morang, Sunsari, Jhapa, Dhanusha, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Chitwan, Makwanpur, Kavrepalanchowk, Kaski, Nawalparasi Purba, Banke, Rupandehi and Kailali. Similarly, the districts having over 200 active cases of coronavirus are Siraha, Saptari, Parsa, Bara, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Dhading, Sindhuli, Nuwakot, Gorkha, Syangja, Baglung, Tanahu, Gulmi, Palpa, Bardiya, Dang, Surkhet and Kanchanpur.
